As proof that WordPress is a major player in education, a movement to create a conference specifically for ‘WordPress in the world of higher education’ has been gaining momentum this week.

Rachel Carden, a web designer and developer at The University of Alabama, is spearheading WordCampus.org.

The idea is still in its infancy as no location, date, or anything else is set – but for anyone interested, be sure to complete the contact form here to learn more.

There are already several annual conferences around the web in higher education – including HighEdWeb – which we will be at in October. But this is the first WordPress specific conference that we know of, and we love the idea!
